The last time I went to the North Bridge in Concord, Massachusetts it was a clear, cool day- April 19, 2009. Geese flew overhead, woodpeckers could be heard through the crisp early morning air, and the Concord River gently murmured its way under the bridge. Then, through the early morning air the sound of drums and fife pierced the songs of Nature- heralding the beginnings of the battle that would ensue- a battle reenacting the first battle for Liberty two hundred thirty-four years previous.
This morning as I went outside into the cool, clear Spring, geese honked their passage overhead as they flew north, and a woodpecker's incomparably energetic rapping broke through the crispness of the morning air. And today, in Washington D.C., forces are at work to overthrow the very spirit of Liberty which was victorious at the North Bridge. It's going to be an important day. I pray the Founders are with us as God's angels at this very important battle to preserve the very foundation of our country.
